has a rich history of sport. Professional and recreational teams from a variety of leagues have all called the Garden City home, and banners of their achievements hang in almost every arena, stadium and clubhouse.

We know the IceDogs and River Lions, and have fond memories of the Stompers and Teepees, but not every team has staying power. What about the teams that made a splash and quickly disappeared? Or simply came and went without anyone noticing?

Let’s shine the spotlight on some of these forgotten teams, and grant them the glory they never achieved on the ice, field or court.
